We are seeking to recruit a Maintenance Technician to join a leading manufacturer in County Wexford. The successful candidate will be part of the maintenance team with responsibilities for preventative and breakdown maintenance and the related documentation of the maintenance carried out. Duties:

  • Conduct regular maintenance on existing systems and develop maintenance schedules to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Perform maintenance, diagnosis, calibration, and repair of plant, equipment, facilities, and utilities.
  • Troubleshoot and repair motors, mechanical circuits, and all mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, processes, facilities, and utilities.
  • Execute routine and immediate tests on all mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Adhere to and uphold all safety standards and regulations.
  • Prepare cost analysis reports for maintaining, upgrading, and repairing machinery and electrical systems.
  • Train junior technicians as needed.
  • Monitor and track all tools and parts used, and order replacements as necessary.
  • Implement preventative and unplanned maintenance.
  • Conduct investigations and perform root cause analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Trade qualified fitter (mechanical or electrical).
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and their operations.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across all departments.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, pumps, and automation.
  • Proven experience in production maintenance.
