Stafford - hybrid working

Up to 70k

Role Overview:

  • Coordination with National Grid Design Assurance in order to achieve design approval for the following design packs:
  • Development of Substation HV layout and elevation designs to National Grid standards with support from a HV Layout CAD person.
  • Busbar and connector schedule design development and coordination with supplier.
  • Interfacing with steelwork manufacturer for HV plant structure design.
  • 400kV, 275kV & 132kV HV plant specification and OEM technical order clarification sheets.
  • Single Line Diagrams.
  • Below ground/above ground earthing design development to TS3.1.2 TGNE 187 in conjunction with earthing specialist recommendations.
  • Mechanical Interlocking design development.
  • MEWP Access layout design.
  • Label Schedule design.
  • HV Cable route design.
  • Attendance at bi-weekly internal design review meetings with the Lead Engineer.

Essentials:

  • HV Plant / Primary Design background.
  • Experience up to 400kV and 4000 Amps.
  • Knowledge of National Grid standards.
