Key Responsibilities as a Head of Religious Education:
- Department Leadership: Lead the Religious Education department, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.
- Curriculum Management: Develop and oversee an engaging and inclusive Religious Education curriculum, promoting knowledge, understanding, and critical thinking skills.
- Teaching Excellence: Deliver outstanding lessons and act as a role model to staff and students, fostering a love of learning.
- Team Development: Mentor and support staff within the department, inspiring collaboration and continuous professional development.
- Student Progress: Monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing strategies to ensure individual and group achievement.

Essential Requirements for Head of Religious Education:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Demonstrated expertise in Religious Education.
- Leadership Experience: Previous experience leading or managing within a department.
- Strong Subject Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of Religious Education curricula across Key Stages.
- Inspirational Leadership: Ability to motivate and lead a team of educators.
