Head of Geography – January Start Location: Windsor Job Type: Permanent, expected to work full-time hours. Job Duties: Developing and delivering a comprehensive Geography curriculum Managing and mentoring a team of Geography teachers Monitoring student progress and implementing interventions when necessary Organising field trips and extracurricular activities related to Geography Collaborating with other department heads to ensure cross-curricular links Required Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) Education: Bachelor’s degree in Geography or related field Knowledge and Skills: Adaptable and able to handle challenging situations Strong subject knowledge in Geography Patient and able to work with students of varying abilities Resilient and able to cope with the demands of the role Effective classroom management skills Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Education or Geography Leadership or management qualification Working Conditions: This role will primarily be based in a school environment, with regular classroom teaching and administrative responsibilities. Occasional travel for field trips and meetings may be required. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
