Your new company A growing, Bath-based business is looking to recruit a Head of Financial Reporting to join the team in this newly created role. Your new role Reporting into the Finance Director and managing a team of 5 people, this role will lead and support the operational finance function, delivering financial reports and year-end accounts to ensure regulatory compliance. Key elements of the role include: Report and provide written commentary of month end performance with variance analysis Lead on monthly management accounts, forecasting and KPI analysis. Coordinate on the production of year-end statutory accounts. Lead on the production of the annual budget model. Review aged debt. Implementing controls, policies and procedures within financial reporting and the wider finance team. Manage a team of 5 people, carrying out reviews and supporting their development. Support the transactional team and help develop efficiencies but also any potential business opportunities. What you’ll need to succeed We are looking for a Qualified Accountant with all round strategic and analytical skills. You should have strong experience in management accounts, budget preparation and forecasting for a business. Naturally, you will have good technical abilities-but you should also be people-orientated, able to lead and motivate a team of accountants. In addition, you should be able to bring ideas to the table and have strong attention to detail.
