Head of Care – Residential Care Home Location: Ashtead Pay Rate: £13.50 – £14.50 per hour Hours: Full-time, Days About Us We are a well-established residential care home in Ashtead, specialising in providing exceptional care for elderly residents. Our focus is on promoting dignity, independence, and well-being in a warm, supportive environment. The Role We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head of Care to join our team and lead the delivery of outstanding care. You will oversee all aspects of resident care, manage and support the care team, and ensure compliance with care home standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Lead and supervise the care team, ensuring high standards of care are maintained. Care Planning: Develop and regularly review care plans to meet the individual needs of residents. Resident Care: Oversee and support the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care for elderly residents. Compliance: Ensure all care practices comply with CQC standards, health and safety regulations, and company policies. Staff Development: Provide training, guidance, and mentoring to the care team to enhance their skills and performance. Family Liaison: Build strong relationships with residents’ families, acting as a point of contact and addressing any concerns. Daily Operations: Oversee the smooth running of care activities, including staff rotas and care delivery coordination. What We’re Looking For We are looking for a compassionate and experienced senior care assistant with excellent leadership skills and a passion for supporting elderly residents. Essential Requirements: NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent). Proven experience in a senior or leadership role within elderly care. Excellent knowledge of person-centered care and care planning. Strong leadership and team management skills. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. Desirable Skills: Knowledge of dementia care best practices. Familiarity with CQC inspection requirements. Additional training or qualifications in care management.
