Role Overview
Your role begins with a comprehensive 12-day training program at the Fire Service College in Moreton-In-Marsh, covering skills essential for deployment, including:
- Hose running
- Hydrant operation
- Pump operation
- Ladder climbing
- Operating a Fire Engine in an emergency situation
- Road Traffic Collision (RTC) â the use of hydraulic cutting equipment
- First Aid
- Emergency response driving (Driving on blue lights)
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in ongoing training to maintain deployable status, including a 12-day initial training, 5-day initial emergency response driver training and annual 6-day refresher courses.
- Conduct daily inspections and maintenance checks on the fire engine, pump, hoses, and related equipment to ensure readiness and reliability.
- Participate in scenario-based training and skills practice during âstand-downâ times to ensure full readiness.
- Mobilise quickly to Central London and deploy to designated emergency locations as needed.
- Support emergency response activities, performing tasks typically handled by professional firefighters.
- Travel throughout the UK, prepared for extended assignments and periods of training and readiness exercises.
- Adhere to safety protocols for personal protective equipment and vehicles.

With a dedicated, standby team of over 500 trained personnel, Securitas is the only security provider offering this unique UK preparedness service. Our team is ready to respond at a momentâs notice to support and uphold public safety during critical times.
This is a deployment-based role for individuals who can be mobilised on short notice, serving as front-line responders during periods of high demand. Youâll represent Securitas professionally, as a Fire Resilience Crew Driver contributing directly to UK emergency preparedness.

- Physical Ability: Candidates must possess the physical strength and stamina to perform rigorous tasks for extended periods. This includes:
- Stamina: Ability to run 100 meters, jog for 5 minutes, and complete a 12-hour shift.
- Movement and Agility: Ability to climb ladders up to 8m, navigate confined spaces, and maintain flexibility in movement.
