Interim Financial Accountant 9-12 Months Fixed Term Contract Royston £50,000 + benefits
Our client, a professional and highly diverse commercial enterprise based in North Hertfordshire, is looking for an intelligent, quick thinking and highly diligent individual able to add immediate value to a well established corporate finance function.
The successful candidate will have had exposure to a fast moving office and sector where initiative and creative thought processes are encouraged. The role will provide ongoing financial support to the financial reporting team and will cover the following areas:
- Preparation and interpretation of financial records and accounting statements.
- Preparing weekly and monthly financial reporting data.
- Ensuring all general ledger activities including fixed assets, accruals, prepayments and inter company processes are timely and accurately performed.
- Preparing or managing the preparation of the statutory accounts by outsourced providers.
- Accurate completion of VAT and local sales tax returns, other local government statutory and statistical reporting.
- Understanding and adhering to tax compliance across multiple entities.
- Assisting the finance transactions team on an ad-hoc basis.
Ideally you will have experience communicating with high profile individuals and across various internal and external departments. Your professional qualification (ACA / ACCA) will have been achieved or will be in the final stages, and you will be immediately available to start the assignment with a few days notice.
Your experience to date will be financial accounting heavy and gleaned from either Practice or a technically driven department of a large commercial enterprise. You will be a credible and eloquent communicator excited by the prospect of interacting with senior level professionals and have a hands on approach and inquisitive mindset, able to drill into transactional detail.
