Our client is a leading custom design and manufacturer in their field, selling their products to a wide range of clients across the UK & Ireland. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Field Service Engineer in Northern Ireland to join their team. This role is responsible for the service, repair, and support of a range of industrial electrical equipment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing industrial electrical equipment.
- Installing and commissioning new equipment.
- Speaking directly to clients and handling complaints.
- Fault finding, diagnosing, and technical problem-solving of electromechanical equipment.
- Field-based, travelling across the UK and Ireland.
Skills & Experience:
- Must have experience in electrical engineering (mechanical knowledge beneficial).
- Must have previous experience in a field-based position.
- Previous experience in an industrial or commercial workplace.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently to resolve customer issues.
- A methodical approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- A flexible approach to hours worked, including weekends as required.
- Willingness to travel across Northern Ireland/Ireland, with the occasional travel to the UK.
- Clean full UK Driving License.
Additional Information:
- Please note the Head Office is based in Banbury, but the role is based in Northern Ireland.
- Overtime is typically in the region of 20-35% of salary.
- Working hours are Monday to Friday, with frequent weekend work required, especially for installations.
- Company-provided vehicle and fuel card (subject to BIK).
- Comprehensive set of tools, workwear, laptop & mobile phone provided.
- 25 days holiday per year + Bank Holidays.
