Estimator - Construction

We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of Tyne & Wears leading and fastest growing Construction & Property contractors Due to a continued period of growth i, they are now looking to add an experienced Estimator to their team. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in numeracy, possess excellent negotiation and communication skills. They should be methodical and organised in their approach and be detail orientated. The candidate should be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure in order to meet client deadlines and company requirements. Essential requirements * A minimum of 5 years previous estimating experience * Foundation degree in estimating / quantity surveying within in the building industry * Driving licence Key Responsibilities * Research, negotiate and source the most competitive cost of materials, equipment hire and labour from suppliers / subcontractors * Prepare, cost and submit estimates * Collate detailed price lists of requirements on each construction project * Visit project sites to gather information and clarify client's needs and expectations * Oversee projects to ensure costs remain in line with forecasts – be aware of potential inflation and projected timescale costs * Collaborate with Contracts Management Team to ensure the successful execution of multiple projects in accordance with the planned programme and priced schedule * Develop relationships with clients and key contacts * keeping up to date with the latest regulatory and legislative requirements * Generate interim claim and final account applications If this role is of interest then please contact Unify today
