This permanent, office-based role offers a competitive salary of £50,000 to £54,000 per annum, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.

Role Overview:
As the Environmental Manager, you will be an integral part of the management team, overseeing the environmental management of a site that operates 24/7 with four operating lines and 136 employees. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Ensuring compliance with all site permits and permissions, including Environmental Permits, Trade Effluent Consents, REACH authorisations, Climate Change Agreements, and Packaging Obligation reporting.
- Maintaining ISO14001 and ISO50001 Management Systems, and supporting other systems such as ISO45001 (H&S) and ISO9001 (Quality).
- Designing and delivering environmental training programmes.
- Managing emergency preparedness, spill response, and pollution prevention audits.
- Overseeing chemical management, including solvent consumption and emission troubleshooting, and maintaining a solvent consumption improvement register.
- Conducting data analysis and managing carbon bed maintenance.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A degree in Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Professional qualifications in Environmental and Safety management.
- Experience in a 24/7 production operation, particularly within the process or chemical industry.
- Expertise in ISO14001 systems management and Environment Agency permit control.
- Knowledge of ISO45001 (H&S), ISO50001 (Energy), and ISO9001 (Quality) systems.
- Familiarity with REACH regulations and lean tools principles (5S, TPM, etc.).
- Strong supervisory and people management skills.
