Distribution Centre Manager £45,000 – £50,000 Plus Benefits Company My client is a market leading manufacturer of specialist products that are supplied globally. They have an opportunity for an experienced Distribution Centre Manager who will plan product storage and delivery, as well as improving efficiencies in relation to Operations, Health & Safety and Cost. The Role Reporting to the Head of Logistics, the DC Manager will manage the end-to-end process from receipt to customer delivery. This will also include: Managing all KPI’s aligned to company objectives Challenging the KPI status quo Ensuring cost-effective transport and route planning Managing day-to-day stock accuracy Managing internal and external suppliers Contract management, negotiation and renewal Optimization of storage space Optimization of available resource to meet demand Planning and manning all budgetary costs Liaising and building strong relationships with internal functions Coordination with other group DCs to improve group efficiencies Compliance with all Health & Safety responsibilities The Individual The DC Manager appointed to this role will have a minimum of 5 years of both Warehouse and Transport management experience. A relevant industry qualification is desirable, however a proven track record in a similar role is crucial. You will also: Be a strong communicator with excellent people management skills Be willing to lead by example Have experience of SAP / WMS Have experience of Change management Have experience of Project planning Be used to utilising Continuous Improvement tools successfully The Benefits In return the successful DC Manager can expect to receive a competitive salary of up to £50,000 (dependent upon experience), and a competitive salary package.
