A leading engineering company seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join their team. You will be responsible for delivering complex projects from design through to commissioning, with a focus on system layout, project execution, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Engineering: Create 3D/2D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, integrating in-house and third-party equipment for optimised layouts.
- Project Execution: Manage the engineering development of projects, including detailed design, BOM creation, and customer liaison. Support installation and commissioning.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyse completed projects to enhance design processes, costings, and competitiveness.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Manufacturing, and Project teams to ensure the successful delivery of each project.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience in sheet metal and fabricated product design.
- Experience with special purpose machinery (conveyors would be beneficial).
- Proficiency in 3D & 2D CAD Software.
- HNC or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
