Role Overview: As a Contract Engineer at with this client, you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing engineering and automated materials handling projects on a contractual basis. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to navigate complex contractual agreements. Key Responsibilities: * Contract Development and Negotiation: Craft detailed contracts outlining project scope, timelines, costs, and deliverables. * Project Management: Oversee engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to contractual terms and client expectations. * Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them throughout the project lifecycle. * Client Relationship Management: Maintain positive interactions with clients to facilitate smooth project execution and address any grievances effectively. * Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all project activities adhere to contractual agreements and industry standards. Create organized summaries of essential clauses for easy reference. * Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, including architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, to align project goals and ensure successful outcomes. * Financial Management: Monitor project budgets and ensure financial objectives are met. * Programme management Review and collaboration of Vendor and Client construction and fitout programmes, monitoring progress, highlighting risks and mitigating issues. * Change & Cost management Manage changes throughout the Contract period, auditing and validating claims and managing the approvals process. Process requests for performance and stage payment. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field). * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable. * Proven experience in contract engineering or a similar role. * Strong understanding of contractual terms and condition e.g MF1 or NEC. * Ability to analyse complex technical drawings and legal documents. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills. * Proficiency in risk assessment and mitigation strategies
