Job Title: Contract Administrator – Social Housing Reactive Repairs 📍 Location: Hackney 🕒 Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent 💼 Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 + Package 📅 Start Date: ASAP About the Role We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Contract Administrator to join our main contracting client, supporting the delivery of reactive repairs services within the social housing sector. This is a key administrative role ensuring that repair and maintenance contracts run smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance with service level agreements. You’ll work closely with their operational teams, contractors, and residents to support the end-to-end management of repair orders—from scheduling and tracking works to processing invoices and reporting on contract performance. Key Responsibilities * Administer and manage reactive repairs contracts in line with KPIs and contractual obligations * Liaise with contractors, residents, and internal teams to coordinate repair works and ensure timely completion * Monitor job progress and update systems (e.g. Northgate, Orchard, DRS, or similar) with accurate information * Raise, track, and close work orders, ensuring compliance with response times and quality standards * Maintain contract records, documentation, and reports for performance and compliance monitoring * Support invoice processing, purchase orders, and queries relating to contractor payments * Assist in preparing performance reports, analysing trends, and escalating issues where necessary About You * Proven experience in a similar Contract Administrator or Repairs Coordinator role, ideally within social housing or a property maintenance environment * Strong understanding of reactive repairs processes and service delivery * Excellent organisational and administrative skills with keen attention to detail * Confident communicator with a customer-focused approach * Proficient in Microsoft Office and housing management or contractor scheduling systems * Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines Desirable * Knowledge of compliance standards (e.g., Gas Safe, electrical safety) * Experience working with local authorities, housing associations, or public sector housing providers What They Offer * Competitive salary and benefits package * Supportive team environment and career development opportunities * A chance to make a real difference in the lives of residents and communities
