The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Fleet Manager to oversee fleet sales, inventory, and operational efficiency across all branches in the UK, including London Canary Wharf, Lakeside, Mayfair, Bristol, and Warwick. This role focuses on prospecting, sales, and account management for clients across sectors such as corporate, rental, leasing, and more. The Manager will work closely with dealerships and partners to ensure smooth sales operations, inventory management, and supply chain coordination, while always meeting customer demands. This role will be responsible for driving profitable sales and increasing market share through the management of Corporate customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve targets, market share growth, and profitability. This includes setting goals, defining market positioning, determining pricing strategies, and selecting sales channels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Corporate customers, dealerships, and partners to ensure the timely availability and delivery of vehicles to meet demand.
- Conduct market research to analyse industry trends, competitor activities (from publicly available information), and customer preferences, providing insights and recommendations to enhance marketing and sales strategies.
- Oversee inventory management for light commercial vehicles, ensuring alignment with market needs in terms of order management, vehicle availability, and delivery schedules.
- Formulate pricing strategies based on market analysis, cost considerations, and profitability targets to maintain competitiveness.
- Design and execute sales support initiatives, including promotional campaigns, marketing collateral, and training programs to assist dealerships and partners in driving sales.
- Lead negotiations and oversee the signing of Corporate sales contracts, ensuring compliance with legal standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, marketing, and customer service to support dealership sales and fulfil Corporate program requirements.
- Monitor competitor programs (publicly available) and gather market feedback to generate reports with recommendations for improving fleet sales and customer satisfaction.
- Address and resolve customer and partner issues, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure a positive customer experience and uphold the brand's reputation.
- Travel for business meetings as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing Corporate sales within the automotive or related industries, with knowledge of sectors like construction, utilities, telecoms, and public services. Familiarity with relevant regulations and best practices is a plus.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems, with experience in data analysis and report generation.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with a track record of successfully driving teams towards common goals in cross-functional environments.
