A successful manufacturing business requires a Buyer. An exciting end-to-end supply chain position, the Buyer will work across purchasing, inventory control, planning and expediting. The Buyer will join a busy and supportive procurement team, reporting into a Purchasing & Logistics Manager. A broad and exciting supply chain role, the Buyer will provide support to the business and team across all areas of purchasing.
Specific duties of the Buyer include:
- Management of Purchase Order process - raise and place purchase orders ensuring accuracy
- Supplier interactions - ensure orders are confirmed and expedite overdue or late deliveries
- Procurement - monitor MOQ, safety stock levels and re-order points
- Inventory Management - monitor stock and inventory levels, escalating shortages
- Production Planning - Support Production Planning and liaise with subcontract partners
- Process Improvement - look to improve processes across the purchasing and logistics function
