Location: Woodford Green, East London/Essex
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Digital & BIM Leader to manage BIM/Digital related activities across multiple projects and teams.
- Produce, maintain and communicate guidance for BIM/Digital related activities.
- Actively assist the clash detection between consultant team models, review clash reports and propose resolution.
- Uploading and maintaining of BIM models into the on-site scanning portal.
- Configure and produce information for project information exchanges when required.
- Create, maintain and support the ongoing adoption of Digital Site Forms.
- Support the use of digital tools through training and specialist digital support.
- Develop and assist team members to develop 3D models to the agreed level of development.
- Assembly of coordinated federated model from consultants where and when required.
- Implement the strategy for the sharing and coordination of project models on the Common Data Environment (CDE).
- Maintain and receive information into the Master Information Model, and accept/reject information exchanges within the CDE where necessary.
- Ensure delivery of the information requirements identified in the Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR) and Asset Information Requirements (AIR).
- Audit and report on compliance with the project BIM Execution Plan, Client EIR’s and any other project BIM requirements.
- Audit and report on model quality in terms of geometry and metadata at appropriate level of information.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Leader with programming and leading project BIM Coordination Workshops.
- Manage spatial co-ordination on behalf of the Architectural discipline when required.
- Assist where necessary on 4D (Programme sequencing) & 5D (Cost/Quantity take-off) activities.
- Assist in the production of tender and contract stage BIM Execution Plans and appendices under the direction of the Digital & BIM Leader.
- Assist in the assessment of sub-contractor organisations on their ability to deliver to project BIM standards.
- Assist with initiation of onsite photographic scanning and provide ongoing support.
- Develop and maintain in-house BIM content library.
- Keep abreast of relevant industry developments and best practice.
- Producing design information as part of the architectural project team.
Experience:
- Previous experience of Common Data Environments (CDE), and demonstrable experience using 3D coordination software is essential.
- Ideally 5+ years’ industry experience.
