Success in this role depends on your ability to inspire a diverse team, analyse performance data, and implement strategies that grow both individual capability and overall store results.### Key facts**Location:** Dartford, Kent**Engagement:** Full-time**Compensation:** Not specified### What you'll do* Lead a team of sales colleagues to deliver outstanding customer experiences on the shop floor daily* Monitor individual and team sales performance against set targets and adjust strategies accordingly* Coach team members on product knowledge, selling techniques, and customer interaction standards* Support the store manager in achieving overall business objectives and quarterly revenue goals* Ensure that all customer service benchmarks are met across every shift and department* Handle escalated customer issues and resolve complaints to maintain brand reputation* Organise and lead daily team briefings to communicate priorities and share performance updates* Develop action plans to improve conversion rates and average transaction values* Work closely with colleagues from other departments to create a cohesive shopping experience* Maintain awareness of current promotions, seasonal stock, and marketing campaigns to advise the team* Uphold all company policies regarding health and safety, stock handling, and store presentation* Foster a positive team culture that encourages collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement### Requirements* Proven experience in a retail sales leadership or supervisory role within a busy store environment* Strong track record of meeting or exceeding personal and team sales targets over a sustained period* Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop people at all levels* Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and manage a team of retail colleagues effectively* Confidence in handling conflict resolution and de-escalating difficult customer situations* Flexibility to work the full shift pattern including evenings, weekends, and public holidays* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced setting* A genuine passion for retail and a commitment to delivering high standards of service* Experience of working within a target-driven environment where results are regularly measured and reviewed* Comfort with a flexible working pattern that includes late evenings and weekend shifts as part of the regular schedule### Nice to have* Previous experience working within a large shopping centre or high-footfall retail location* Familiarity with retail management systems and point-of-sale technology used in modern stores* Experience of training and onboarding new team members in a retail context* Knowledge of current fashion or general retail trends and seasonal buying cycles* Understanding of visual merchandising principles and how store layout influences customer purchasing decisions* Awareness of current loyalty programmes and customer retention strategies used in modern retail### Skills & tools* Proficiency in using retail performance dashboards and reporting tools to track team metrics* Strong numeracy skills for interpreting sales data, commission structures, and target analyses* Ability to use standard retail software for rotas, stock checks, and team communications* Confidence with mobile devices and in-store technology systems used during daily operations* Effective time management and the ability to juggle multiple priorities across a shift* Interpersonal skills for building rapport with customers, colleagues, and senior management* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance procedures relevant to retail operations### Practical notes* The working pattern consists of 38.75 hours per week across a structured shift schedule* Monday shifts run from 12:45 to 21:00 and Saturday shifts follow the same evening hours* Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday shifts run from 09:00 to 17:15 to cover core daytime hours* This is a full-time, on-site role based at the Bluewater store in Dartford, Kent* The role is based on-site at the Bluewater shopping centre and does not offer a remote working arrangement #J-18808-Ljbffr
