The Role: I am recruiting a Trainee Financial Adviser on behalf of Austyn Smith Associates, an award winning, independent Financial Advice firm, based in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire (HP9).

The Opportunity: Working alongside Austyn Smith, the Director and principal Adviser, you will attend client meetings, building relationships and preparing recommendations and, when your skills and experience allow, take full responsibility for providing clients with an exceptional financial planning service. This is an employed Trainee Financial Adviser role, where you will be servicing an established portfolio of high-net-worth clients; there is no requirement to sell as the business continues to grow through reputation and recommendation. The successful Trainee Financial Adviser will receive the support required to become Diploma qualified (if you are not already) and, as your skills and experience develop, the opportunity to become Chartered. The contribution you make to this small business will be highly valued and rewarded with the opportunity for bonus and potential shares in the business.

The Person: We will consider both candidates who have experience gained working in a financial advisory environment (perhaps as a Financial Planning Assistant, a Paraplanner, an Associate Financial Planner or a recently qualified Financial Adviser who is looking for an employed role in a goals based Financial Planning firm) and career changers, who have a wealth of experience gained in a professional services environment and who can demonstrate a commitment to transitioning into Financial Advice. The successful Trainee Financial Adviser will be passionate about making a difference to people's lives - intelligent, keen to learn, proactive, and detail orientated. They will be a warm relationship builder, confident, empathetic and emotionally intelligent with the ability to communicate complex matters simply, building trust and engendering confidence.

Salary and Benefits: up to £75,000 (dependant on experience) + benefits including 28 days holiday.
