I am recruiting a Paraplanner on behalf of Paradigm Norton, an award-winning financial planning firm. Working in Paradigm Norton’s Financial Planning hub, this is a remote (home based) role where you will enjoy a high degree of autonomy while still benefitting from the highest level of training, support and personal development. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner or a Financial Planning Assistant, ready to progress into Paraplanning, to provide remote financial planning support while still being closely involved in the client experience.

The successful Paraplanner will collaborate with a variety of Client Managers (Advisers), working together to build and implement financial planning solutions to meet a variety of client needs and personal goals. You will also work closely with other members of the Hub team, developing resources and defining best practice to help support Paraplanners across the business.

Paradigm Norton operate a hybrid working model for all employees, but for the Financial Planning Hub we are happy to facilitate 100% remote working, with the occasional visit to the office for training and teambuilding events (if you are based near to one of the offices, you are very welcome to come in more).

Putting the clients’ goals at the heart of the process they deliver comprehensive and bespoke financial planning, investment and portfolio management, tax and estate planning and advice on giving and philanthropy, translating complex financial issues and strategies for high-net-worth clients into workable solutions.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Producing high-quality client recommendations, covering a wide range of financial planning areas including pensions, investments, estate planning and protection.
  • Undertaking technical research and analysis for existing and new investment portfolios.
  • As appropriate, assist with dealing.
  • Providing technical support to Client Managers and other Paraplanners.
  • Contributing to the development of best practice within the Financial Planning Team.
  • Continuing your personal and professional development, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislation, investments, and technology.

Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 12 months’ experience in a similar role (a Paraplanner or an experienced Financial Planning Assistant, ready to progress into Paraplanning).
  • Diploma qualified (Dip PFS or equivalent) or keen to learn and studying for the Diploma in Financial Planning.
  • An understanding of all areas of financial planning.
  • A strong technology, problem-solving and mathematical aptitude.
