Location commutable from Milton Keynes, Luton, Dunstable, Bedford, Buckingham and surrounding areas. This is a site-based role.

Salary £35,000 to £38,000 depending on experience.

Our client, a leading international food manufacturing business, is seeking a Supply Planner to join their growing Supply Chain team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the timely availability of raw materials and packaging materials to support production and customer demand. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, production, logistics, and warehousing teams to optimise inventory levels and maintain efficient supply flows across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain purchasing plans based on production schedules, forecasts, and replenishment methodologies.
  • Manage material requirements planning (MRP) and inventory replenishment activities.
  • Raise and manage purchase orders to ensure the timely availability of materials.
  • Monitor and optimise inventory levels across multiple warehouse locations.
  • Coordinate stock transfers where required to support production and service levels.
  • Plan and track inbound deliveries of raw materials and packaging.
  • Respond to planning changes, supply issues, shortages, and order amendments.
  • Analyse changing demand patterns and adjust supply plans accordingly.
  • Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and material flow.
  • Review and maintain planning parameters, master data, and system settings to improve planning accuracy and automation.
  • Support efficient transport utilisation and warehouse capacity management.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Previous experience within Supply Planning, Material Planning, Production Planning, Inventory Planning, or Supply Chain Planning.
  • Strong understanding of MRP and inventory replenishment processes.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
  • The client has recently implemented Inforce M3; however, candidates with experience using other ERP/MRP platforms are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Relevant systems may include SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle NetSuite, Epicor, IFS, JD Edwards, Syspro, Plex, or similar manufacturing and supply chain planning systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Good IT and systems proficiency, including planning tools and reporting systems.
  • A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
