Mechanical or Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer – Hands-On Problem Solver Wanted
Location: Commutable from Bedford, Dunstable, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Brackley
Salary: £56k
Hours: Full-time, shift-based (day/night rotation, continental shift)
My client is looking for a Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical or electrical bias to keep their production lines running smoothly. The role can be 80% mechanical / 20% electrical or 80% electrical / 20% mechanical, depending on your skill set. If you\’re a hands-on problem solver with strong mechanical and/or electrical skills, this could be the perfect fit.

The Role:
·Keep production moving – perform planned and reactive maintenance
·Diagnose and fix faults – minimize downtime and improve efficiency
·Hands-on work – welding, lathes, milling, and general fabrication
·Electrical troubleshooting – basic to intermediate fault-finding on machinery
·Improve and innovate – collaborate with the team to enhance processes
The Perfect Fit:
·Mechanical or electrical engineering background in a production setting
·Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, milling, and lathe work (mechanical bias)
·Electrical fault-finding skills (electrical bias)
·Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
