A high-performing food manufacturing site is seeking an experienced Site Engineering Manager to take full ownership of engineering performance, assets, and strategy. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for people, plant, and infrastructure. You will lead a multi-shift engineering function, shape long-term engineering strategy, and drive improvements across safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
A growing, forward-thinking manufacturing business:
- Clear opportunities for career progression as the business expands
- Lead and develop a multi-shift engineering function with 4 direct reports and approximately 25 indirect reports
- Define and deliver the site engineering strategy, including CAPEX projects, asset renewal, and continuous improvement
- Full accountability for facilities, site services, the entire production plant, and all site engineering assets
- Drive best-in-class maintenance performance through robust planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance systems
- Champion health & safety, compliance, and engineering standards across the site
- Partner with production, quality, and senior stakeholders to support safe, efficient manufacturing
- Manage engineering budgets, suppliers, and contractor performance
Degree-qualified or equivalent engineering background:
- Proven Site Engineering Manager or senior Engineering Manager experience within FMCG or food manufacturing
- Strong leadership capability across multi-shift teams
- Solid knowledge of CMMS, Lean manufacturing, and reliability improvement
- Electrical or Mechanical qualifications (NVQ Level 3+) and relevant H&S training
