We are seeking experienced Business Improvement Consultants with a strong background in manufacturing and production environments to support the implementation of a clearly defined business improvement programme within a highly productive and ambitious operation. Working alongside operational managers and shift leadership teams, you will play a key role in delivering improvement projects that drive performance, efficiency, and engagement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of a well-defined business improvement plan.
  • Work closely with managers and leaders on shift to deliver improvement initiatives.
  • Drive operational excellence through waste reduction and labour cost control.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop leaders and leadership teams.
  • Support the workforce in understanding and delivering business objectives.
  • Help win the hearts and minds of employees through effective engagement and communication.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure sustainable improvements are embedded within the operation.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

About You

  • Proven experience within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of operational performance, productivity, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring leaders and frontline management teams.
  • Able to influence at all levels and build credibility quickly.
  • Understands what 'good looks like' in a high-performing manufacturing operation.
  • Looking to move into, or further develop, a consultancy-based role.
  • Results-driven, hands-on, and comfortable working directly on the shop floor.

Contract Details

  • Rate: £450 per day (all-inclusive, including expenses)
  • Duration: Initial 6 months, with strong potential for further opportunities as the wider improvement programme continues into next year.
