Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out primarily mechanical maintenance, with supporting electrical work, to ensure machinery reliability.
  • Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical systems, with electrical and PLC fault-finding where required.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns and restore equipment efficiently.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to keep equipment at peak performance.
  • Support basic electrical fault finding and troubleshooting as part of a multi-skilled role.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Enhance machinery reliability through proactive servicing and maintenance.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will ideally have experience with food process machinery and hold one or more of the following qualifications:

  • BTEC/ONC in Mechanical Engineering or a multi-skilled engineering qualification
  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), with electrical competency
  • Time-served apprenticeship (mechanical or multi-skilled)
  • HNC in Mechanical, Production, or Maintenance Engineering
