About the Role
We\’re seeking an experienced and driven Electrical Engineering Team Leader / Shift Engineering Manager to lead and develop a skilled maintenance team within a leading food manufacturing facility.
In this key role, you\’ll take ownership of engineering performance across your shift – ensuring that all machinery and systems run safely, efficiently, and reliably. You\’ll be hands-on in your approach, supporting your team with technical expertise while driving a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
·Lead, coach and support a team of multi-skilled engineers across your shift.
·Oversee all electrical and mechanical maintenance on production, process and packaging equipment.
·Deliver effective PPM schedules and manage reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
·Apply strong electrical fault-finding skills and contribute to root cause analysis and long-term fixes.
·Champion health & safety, ensuring all work is completed to site and regulatory standards.
·Collaborate with production and technical teams to achieve performance and reliability targets.
·Support and lead improvement projects across the site to enhance efficiency and equipment reliability.
About You
·Time-served, electrically biased multi-skilled engineer, ideally with a Level 3+ qualification.
·Experience leading or supervising maintenance teams in a food, FMCG, or automated manufacturing environment.
·Confident with electrical fault-finding, PLC diagnostics, and general mechanical systems.
·Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate, guide and develop others.
·Proactive mindset with a passion for operational excellence and continuous improvement.
