Are you an Electrically biased Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for your next challenge? We have an exciting opportunity at a dynamic and fast‑paced facility in Milton Keynes! As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be key to ensuring the smooth running of this 24/7 facility. You will be working on a rotating days and nights shift pattern, taking ownership of both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdowns. Your technical expertise will be vital to maintaining plant efficiency and contributing to ongoing improvements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance plant, processes, and assets to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability.
- Perform day‑to‑day maintenance and drive improvements across all site services and machinery.
- Ensure all work is in line with food safety and Health & Safety standards.
- Complete PPM tasks and continuously seek to improve maintenance practices.
- Diagnose and repair faults promptly to minimise downtime and ensure the seamless running of operations.
- Lead by example in championing health and safety practices.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Monitor and report on equipment conditions and potential failures, while providing data to the CMMS system.
Requirements
- Electrically qualified with solid experience as a multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineer in a fast‑paced manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, particularly in manufacturing, production, or process environments.
- HNC qualification or apprentice‑trained background with hands‑on experience working on fast‑moving machinery, pumps, valves, and PLCs.
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance techniques and a good understanding of food safety standards.
- Proven knowledge and experience of initiating and implementing continuous improvements, lean manufacturing and Six sigma techniques.
- Problem‑solving skills and experience with root cause analysis are essential.
- Prior experience in a FMCG environment is highly desirable.
