Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and motivated Plastics Operative to join a busy manufacturing team on a permanent basis. This is a day shift role working within a fast-paced production environment, producing high-quality plastic components while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met.
Working Hours (Day Shifts)
- Option 1: Monday to Thursday - 6:00am to 4:00pm
- Option 2 (Optional): Monday to Friday - 6:00am to 2:00pm
Key Responsibilities
- Operate plastic manufacturing machinery (e.g. injection moulding, extrusion, or similar equipment)
- Load raw materials and monitor machine performance throughout production
- Carry out basic machine checks and report faults or issues
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Trim, pack, and label finished goods as required
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Follow health & safety procedures at all times
- Keep the work area clean and organised
- Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (plastics experience preferred but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately
- Good reliability and timekeeping
- Basic understanding of health & safety practices
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks
Desirable Skills
- Experience in injection moulding or plastics manufacturing
- Knowledge of quality inspection processes
- Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
