We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical background. Candidates from heavy industry such as heavy engineering or similar environments are preferred, although other relevant industrial experience will be considered.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be part of a maintenance team responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of heavy industrial equipment, including:

  • Crushers
  • Conveyor systems
  • Heavy process machinery

This is a high-volume, breakdown-focused environment, with a transition towards a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system, so experience with or exposure to PPM is advantageous.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical process equipment
  • Mechanical repair and maintenance of industrial machinery
  • Arc welding (essential requirement)
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical and CAD drawings
  • Fitting and assembling mechanical components
  • Working across multiple production lines (typically two lines), ensuring uptime
  • Calling on additional engineering support when required
