The successful Production manager will be from a fast paced food , high risk chilled food background, and have an understanding of how raw materials are manufactured into the finished product. Exposure to lean manufacturing including 5s, kaizan and kanban would be advantageous for this role. This role requires the Production Manager to be extremely driven and have a proven track record of man management, continuous process management, be team orientated, have excellent decision making ability, as well as be a good communicator to all levels of personnel. The Role As the Production manager you will be responsible for the day the day to day running of the production team, and equipment and you will be reporting directly into the Site manager. You will be directly responsible for the management of 4 direct reports, and indirectly responsible for up to 60 – 100 reports. Your daily workload will comprise of man management & team building; driving the production team including monitoring production KPI's and looking after the management issues of the team, including disciplinary procedures, structuring the site, continuous improvement, reliability. You will also be responsible for budget/cost control. You will ensure the delivery of the Company's vision and standards to all members of the team and ensure that the individuals are aware of how they relate to this vision. You will be working in an extremely fast paced continuous process, with a high expectation to meet tight deadlines.
