Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm

Pay Rate: £16.75 per hour PAYE - £22.00 per hour SELF-EMPLOYED

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Counterbalance Forklift Driver to support a well-established food production company based in Gloucester. This role is not based within the food production area. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the relocation of the company's workshop, working within the external workshop and yard areas. The role will involve safely transporting and repositioning workshop equipment, machinery, materials, and associated products as part of a planned workshop move. This is an outdoor position, so applicants should be comfortable working in all weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck.
  • Assist with the relocation of the workshop by moving equipment, machinery, materials, and products to new locations.
  • Load, unload, and transport workshop items across the site.
  • Ensure equipment is handled safely to prevent damage during the relocation.
  • Carry out daily pre-use checks on the forklift.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Adhere to all site health and safety procedures throughout the project.

Requirements

  • Essential: Previous Counterbalance Forklift experience.
  • A valid ITSSAR or RTITB accredited Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
  • Experience moving heavy equipment or working within a workshop, engineering, or industrial environment is advantageous.
  • Comfortable working outdoors.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently.
