Potential for a permanent opportunity, with a role that would be more focused on facilities, stores, asset management and stock control across the site.
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Stores Coordinator to support our busy food manufacturing business on a fixed-term contract until 4th September. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing order to busy environments and takes pride in creating efficient systems. Whether you have experience working in engineering, maintenance, stores or warehousing, if you're organised and enjoy improving processes, we'd like to hear from you. There is also the potential for this role to become permanent for the right candidate. While this contract is focused on organising and improving the engineering stores, any permanent position would be more facilities-focused, supporting the management of facilities-related stores, assets and stock across the site.
The Role
Your primary objective will be to organise and improve our engineering stores, ensuring that:
- All spare parts and stock are correctly identified, labelled and stored.
- High Care parts are separated and moved into the appropriate storage area.
- Stock is fully traceable and easy to locate.
- Accurate stock levels are maintained and visible at all times.
- The stores are organised to a high standard, creating a benchmark of what 'good' looks like.
- The stores are left in a sustainable, well-managed condition before being handed back to the site team.
You will be supported with moving stock where required, allowing you to focus on organising the stores, improving stock control and implementing robust systems. The site uses the Shire PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) system, so experience with Shire would be advantageous, although not essential.
About You
You may be:
- An engineer with excellent organisational skills.
- An experienced engineering stores or warehouse professional.
- Someone with strong inventory control and stock management experience.
You'll be methodical, self-motivated and capable of working independently, with a passion for creating efficient, organised and well-controlled working environments. If you enjoy creating order, improving systems and leaving a lasting positive impact on a manufacturing operation, we'd love to hear from you.
