We're currently seeking a highly driven and experienced Shift Production Manager to join our fast-paced food manufacturing facility in Corby. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on leader with a background in food or FMCG production, who understands how raw materials are transformed into high-quality finished products.

About the Role: Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you'll take full responsibility for the daily operation of the production area. You'll lead a team of 4 direct reports and oversee a wider team of 60-100 staff. Your goal will be to ensure efficient, safe, and high-performing production shifts that meet the company's quality, output, and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and develop your team to maintain performance and morale
  • Monitor and analyse production KPIs, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement through lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Kanban
  • Maintain optimal site structure and ensure smooth workflow across all production areas
  • Handle people management issues including training, absence, and performance
  • Oversee budget and cost control measures across your shift
  • Communicate and enforce company policies, vision, and standards at all levels
  • Operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with strict deadlines

What We're Looking For: We're seeking a proactive and strategic leader with:

  • Proven people management and leadership skills in a production environment
  • Strong communication and motivational abilities across all levels
  • Hands-on knowledge of Lean principles (5S, Kaizen, Kanban)
  • A track record in continuous improvement and team development
  • Familiarity with standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and Health & Safety regulations
  • Solid understanding of line efficiency, performance metrics, and process control
  • Experience in the food or FMCG manufacturing sector
