We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Engineering Department on an interim basis. The successful candidate will have:
- A recognised engineering apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification
- Proven experience within food manufacturing or a process-driven production environment
- Strong knowledge of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) systems and implementation
- Experience managing quality standards and reducing waste
- A proactive, hands-on leadership style with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
The Interim Maintenance Manager will be responsible for:
- Providing strong leadership and man-management to a small team (up to 6 direct reports and 10 indirect, including contractors)
- Managing on-site projects and contractor activity
- Distributing workload effectively across the team
- First and second-line management responsibilities
- Conducting staff appraisals and performance management
- Delivering and reporting on KPIs including Planned Maintenance, Health & Safety, and Quality
- Providing technical leadership and promoting a proactive maintenance culture to prevent equipment failure
