Director of Consultancy – Employee Experience

Location: London (Hybrid – with occasional travel across the UK and to client sites)

Salary: £90,000 – £100,000 + bonus + benefits

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

The Role

As the Director of Consultancy, you’ll sit at the heart of our senior leadership team, steering a portfolio of high-profile accounts across multiple industries.

You’ll be responsible for:

Client leadership & growth

- Acting as the primary strategic partner for senior executives, building relationships rooted in trust and expertise

- Identifying opportunities to expand our impact, from cross-selling services to winning new, high-value projects

- Leading pitch processes and presenting with confidence to board-level stakeholders

Project excellence

- Overseeing multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative, high-quality programmes

- Signing off project budgets, ensuring profitability and efficiency without compromising creativity or impact

- Troubleshooting challenges and ensuring every client feels valued and supported

Team leadership

- Managing and mentoring senior consultants and department heads, fostering a high-performance culture

- Championing collaboration and knowledge sharing across the business

- Setting clear commercial targets and motivating the team to achieve them

Strategic impact

- Contributing to the long-term direction of the consultancy, helping shape service offerings, market positioning, and growth strategy

- Acting as a thought leader – both internally and in the wider industry – through speaking engagements, events, and professional networks

About You

We’re looking for someone who is both a visionary strategist and a hands-on leader with:

- 8+ years’ experience in a senior consultancy role, ideally focused on employee experience, organisational change, culture, or internal communications

- Proven success in growing client relationships and securing significant new business

- Advanced commercial acumen, with experience managing multi-million-pound budgets

- A track record of leading high-performing, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment

- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at C-suite level

- A creative and curious mindset – you’re as comfortable with data and analytics as you are with storytelling and design thinking
