The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Area Cleaning Manager to oversee a multi-site portfolio across the Crewe to Cannock region. This is a highly operational role where you’ll be actively present on client sites each day, leading teams, ensuring service standards are met, and acting as the key link between the business and site-based staff. The role requires someone who is comfortable being visible, approachable, and proactive—supporting teams on the ground while maintaining strong client relationships.
Working Pattern
This position requires you to be on-site daily between approximately 2:30pm – 6:30pm, managing operations during key service delivery hours. Flexibility outside of these hours is required for administration and client communication, but you will be in charge of your own diary.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of cleaning operations across multiple sites
- Leading, motivating, and supporting site-based cleaning teams
- Being physically present on-site during core operational hours
- Ensuring high standards of service delivery and compliance
- Conducting regular site audits and resolving issues in real time
- Acting as the main point of contact for client queries and escalations
- Managing rotas, staffing levels, and performance
- Maintaining strong communication with both clients and internal teams
- Handling a high volume of communication via email, phone, and in person

- High standard of written English (essential due to regular email communication)
- Ability to manage multiple sites and priorities effectively
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region
- Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check
