We are looking for a highly versatile, professional, and self-motivated electrical mechanical engineer to join our dedicated engineering team. You'll play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of a busy industrial laundry facility, ensuring equipment is running efficiently and downtime is kept to a minimum. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is keen to take on a hands-on role with long-term career prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all planned maintenance in line with the site maintenance schedule
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns, carrying out repairs to minimise downtime
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with current Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors and management

Essential skills/qualifications:

  • A multi-skilled engineer with either an electrical or mechanical bias
  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition (for electrical bias)
  • Steam, gas or boiler qualifications (e.g. BOAS, COCN1) - an advantage
  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced production or manufacturing environment
  • Fault finding with strong attention to detail
  • Background in laundry, FMCG or similar industries preferred but not essential
