Job Description

Role : Mechanical Building Engineer – Westminster\\n\\nBenefits: up to £45,000 / 40 hour week / 8am – 5pm with 1 hour lunch included / 22 + 8 days holiday / Monday – Friday / Private Medical / Death in service / Pension\\n \\n We are an international facilities management company with over 100 years experience in the industry, currently employing over 4000 engineers. We work closely with many industries such as government, healthcare, education, retail and the aviation industry. Our services in the hard sector include, Electrical and mechanical maintenance, building services, fire safety, and compliance.\\n \\n Job Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and servicing mechanical building systems, including Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), pumps, and valves.

You will also be expected to undertake minor works across other trades as required. Working on a secure government contract, you must be able to pass Security Clearance (SC) checks.\\n \\n Key Responsibilities:\\n\\nPerform routine maintenance and repair on AHUs, FCUs, pumps, and valves.\\nTroubleshoot mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs.\\nConduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on building systems.\\nComplete relevant documentation and reports in line with compliance requirements.\\nSupport other maintenance tasks as required, including basic electrical, plumbing, and general building upkeep.\\nLiaise with clients and stakeholders professionally and courteously.\\nEnsure adherence to Health and Safety regulations at all times.Skills and Experience Required:\\n\\nProven experience in mechanical building maintenance within a facilities management environment.\\nStrong knowledge of AHUs, FCUs, pumps, valves, plumbing, and general HVAC systems.\\nFlexible approach to work, willing to assist with other trades as needed.\\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\\nGood communication and customer service skills.\\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\\nMust be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC).Qualifications:\\n\\nNVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.\\nValid CSCS card preferred.\\nHealth and Safety certification (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH) desirable.Benefits:\\n\\nCompetitive salary and benefits package.\\nOpportunities for career progression and development.\\nSupportive and inclusive work environment.\\nSecure, long-term contract with a reputable employer
