We are a Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Electrical and Mechanical contractor based in the South East, established for over 15 years, carrying out works for the hospitality industry with brands such as Leon, Pizza Hut, Frankie and Benny's, Coast to Coast, Yo Sushi, Giraffe, and many more.
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our team and take full ownership of mechanical projects from start to finish. This position is best suited to someone with proven leadership capabilities, technical confidence, and the drive to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for managing a small team (3-5 engineers and tradespeople) and overseeing mechanical packages across commercial projects — with a focus on HVAC systems including air conditioning, ventilation, and plumbing.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end management of mechanical projects (from tender through to handover).
- Leading and coordinating a team of 3–5 site and project-based staff.
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Ensuring compliance with building regulations, safety standards, and company quality procedures.
- Overseeing procurement, resource planning, and scheduling.
- Managing budgets, forecasts, and reporting on project performance.
- Carrying out site inspections and ensuring best practice on all installations.
- Contributing to business development and repeat work opportunities through excellent client relationships.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in mechanical project management within the building services sector.
- Strong background in HVAC — including AC, Ventilation, and Plumbing systems.
- Ideally experience in kitchen extraction and shop fitting environments.
- Proven ability to run multiple projects independently under tight deadlines.
- Confident communicator with strong leadership and client-facing skills.
- Full UK driving license.
- Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (preferred but not essential with strong experience).
