A well-established provider of fire and security solutions is seeking an experienced Fire & Security Technician to join their growing team. The company delivers high-quality services to commercial, educational, and care home environments across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and surrounding areas. Their focus is on safety, compliance, and delivering reliable, industry-standard solutions that protect people, property, and business operations.

Role Overview

This is a field-based role covering a 30-mile radius of Bedford. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of a range of fire and security systems, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and maintain fire and security systems
  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs
  • Conduct inspections to ensure systems meet compliance and performance standards
  • Work professionally on client sites, maintaining strong communication and customer service

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working on fire and security systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to provide references and undertake an Enhanced DBS check
  • Full UK driving licence and full right to work in the UK
  • Physically capable of performing on-site installation and maintenance tasks
  • Relevant industry training or certifications are advantageous
