Commercial Gas Engineer South Oxfordshire – (4 defence sites)

We currently turn over 2 billion per year in the UK alone! We employ around 9,000 employees across England, Scotland and Wales and have many long-standing relationships with our clients who we offer all reactive callout services and planned maintenance, tailored to meet their specific needs.

The role: We are seeking a skilled Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer to join our Facilities Management Team, covering four key defence sites across South Oxfordshire. This is a unique opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding environment with excellent benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems across multiple sites.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on boilers, heating systems, and other gas appliances.
  • Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with Gas Safe regulations.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, providing emergency maintenance as required.
  • Accurately maintain service records and documentation in line with company standards.
  • Build strong working relationships with site personnel and deliver exceptional customer service.

Qualifications/skills:

  • Qualified commercial gas engineer (Gas Safe registered) with experience in PPM and reactive maintenance.
  • Proven experience working in commercial or defence environments is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude and excellent communication skills.

Package:

  • Basic Salary up to £43,000 salary to be reviewed at end of the year.
  • Travel paid after 30mins each way.
  • On call rota 1 in 7 (£125 standby) – minimum 4 hours paid.
