A Day in the Life of a Phlebotomist
In this role, the phlebotomist is primarily responsible for performing blood collection procedures using venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques, ensuring accurate and safe collection of patient specimens. Additional tasks include conducting workplace drug screenings adhering to strict protocols and managing specimen processing for both in-house and reference laboratories. The position requires handling clerical work, such as data entry and maintaining communication through phone and fax.
