A Day in the Life of an LPN - Home Care and Hospice
The LPN in Home Care provides both direct and indirect, comprehensive care under the guidance of a case manager, focusing primarily on patient welfare and adapting to their evolving needs. This role requires continuous updates on nursing skills and healthcare technology to confidently follow physician's orders and execute treatments with high ethical standards. Collaboration with team members is crucial, promoting teamwork and mutual support within the department. The position includes teaching patients, managing medications, and accurately documenting care outcomes. Regular assessments and adjustments ensure the highest standards of nursing care are met.
About the Home Care Nursing Department: Expert Care in the Home
What makes Home Care Nursing unique is the deep, one-on-one connections we build with patients. Unlike in a hospital setting, where care is often fast-paced and episodic, home care allows for personalized, ongoing support tailored to each individual's needs. No two days are the same; one visit may involve helping a patient recover from surgery, while another means teaching a family how to manage a complex condition, and another is supporting a family at the time of a loved one's passing. Our nurses work autonomously while being part of a strong, collaborative team, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care, no matter where they live. If you are looking for a career where your expertise brings independence, dignity, and quality of life to patients in their homes, Home Care Nursing is where you belong.
