A Day in the Life of a Laboratory Supply Assistant:
In this role, you will maintain and streamline laboratory operations by efficiently managing inventory levels and ensuring timely availability of all necessary supplies. Your daily tasks include ordering, receiving, stocking, and ensuring the rotation of supplies, utilizing computer systems and mobile devices for inventory management. You will face challenges such as keeping accurate track of fluctuating supply levels and adapting to backorder situations to prevent operational disruptions. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with department leads and vendors to audit supplies and manage returns. The role requires travel to various hospital locations and clinics for supply pickup and delivery.
