We’re looking for an Application Engineer to join our growing team in the North Midland area, someone who is both technically strong and commercially aware who can help us deliver real cost savings and added value to our customers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing hands-on technical support and application advice to customers
  • Visiting sites to identify opportunities to improve tool life, cycle times and process reliability
  • Delivering tooling trials and demonstrations, with clear performance feedback
  • Troubleshooting machining issues and implementing practical, cost-effective solutions
  • Supporting the sales team by helping convert opportunities through technical value
  • Building strong relationships with engineers, buyers and production teams
  • Working closely with leading tooling manufacturers to deliver the right solution first time

What we’re looking for:

  • Background in cutting tools, CNC machining, or precision engineering
  • Strong understanding of milling, turning, threading and drilling applications
  • Experience in a customer-facing, applications or technical sales support role is essential
  • Ability to balance technical problem solving with commercial awareness
  • Confident communicator who can add value in front of customers
  • Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working in a field-based role
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
