This is a hybrid role, and applicants must have the right to work and be based in the UK. As Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the delivery of complex and high-value projects across our healthcare communications and clinical trial portfolio. You will act as the main day-to-day client contact for designated projects, particularly those of greater complexity or scale. You will run client and internal project meetings, providing clear structure and direction.
Alongside hands-on project leadership, you will support Project Managers, maintain oversight across multiple workstreams, and ensure consistent standards in planning, financial control, and quality management. You will be solution focused, deadline driven and proactive, identifying risks early, supporting resolution of challenges, and maintaining strong operational control across the delivery function.
Key responsibilities- Strategic project management
- Oversee and support delivery of complex, multi-channel projects
- Act as the main day-to-day client contact for complex or high value projects
- Lead and oversee client and internal project meetings, providing clear written structure and direction
- Be solution focussed and proactively identify risks and support effective and timely resolution
- Collaborate closely with Creative, Content, and Strategy to ensure seamless execution of projects
- Ensure regular project debriefs and reviews take place
- Work closely with the Project Director to strengthen project management processes
- Ensure consistent application of internal workflows and quality standards
- Contribute to improvement in efficiency and delivery practices
- Financial oversight
- Manage project budgets, ensuring accuracy in forecasting, invoicing, and reconciliations
- Identify scope changes early, and work with relevant client service team members to manage financials effectively and align with company goals
- Monitor financial performance across projects
- Escalate financial risks and propose practical solutions
- Team collaboration
- Provide guidance and support to team members involved in project delivery, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment, including regular 1-2-1s and Proud meetings
- Create a motivating work environment that encourages personal growth and teamwork
- 3+ years of project delivery within healthcare communications
- Proven experience managing complex and multi-workstream projects
- Clear and confident verbal and written communication
- Strong financial understanding and confidence managing project budgets
- Experience mentoring or supporting more junior team members
- Solution focused and proactive in a fast-paced environment
- Life science degree or equivalent scientific understanding or project management qualification desirable
