Are you curious about AI, excited by emerging technology, and looking for a role where you can build, experiment, and ship real prototypes from day one? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be working on:

  • This is a unique opportunity to work alongside our Commercial Director as we build and implement a suite of AI agents and AI-powered workflows across the agency.
  • Rapidly prototyping AI tools and agents to solve real business and client challenges.
  • Building and iterating workflows using AI, APIs, and no/low‑code platforms.
  • Experimenting with LLMs (e.g. prompt engineering, evaluation, optimisation).
  • Testing and improving AI outputs for quality, consistency, and real‑world application.
  • Translating business problems into practical AI‑enabled solutions.
  • Trialling emerging technologies and turning ideas into working prototypes.

About the role:

As Junior AI Developer, you’ll play a hands‑on role in supporting the development and rollout of AI tools and processes across the agency. You’ll work closely with our Commercial Director and collaborate across teams to identify opportunities where AI can improve how we work and deliver value to clients. This is not a pure technical or coding role. We’re looking for someone who is organised, curious, proactive, and genuinely excited about AI and innovation. You’ll help bridge the gap between technology and people, supporting experimentation, documenting learnings, and helping teams feel confident using new tools.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities across the agency where AI‑enabled prototypes could reduce manual effort, accelerate delivery, or unlock new capability for client work.
  • Rapidly build, test, and iterate working prototypes of AI tools, agents, and workflows using platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude Code, Zapier, Next.js and emerging no/low‑code environments.
  • Write, evaluate, and refine prompts, chains, and agent behaviours to improve quality, consistency, and reliability of AI outputs.
  • Run small experiments to validate ideas quickly, gather feedback from clients and users across the business, and help decide what to scale, iterate, or scrap.
  • Monitor developments in AI and emerging tools, and bring back ideas, demos, and recommendations the agency can act on.
  • Apply sensible governance, quality, and responsible‑AI practices throughout the build process, with particular care given the healthcare context we work in.

Project coordination:

  • Help coordinate AI‑related projects and keep actions and timelines on track.
  • Support communication between teams involved in innovation projects.
  • Support the rollout of successful prototypes into everyday agency use, including documentation, light training, and feedback loops with the teams using them.

Team collaboration:

  • Contribute ideas and improvements in a collaborative and open environment.
  • Build positive working relationships across departments.
  • Bring enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.

Key skills and experience:

  • Graduate or equivalent experience, ideally in a relevant field such as computer science, data, technology, marketing, communications, business, psychology, or life sciences.
  • Genuine interest in AI, automation, and emerging technology; you spend time experimenting with new tools and want to do that as your job.
  • Comfortable using and learning digital tools quickly, with an experimental, build‑and‑test mindset.
  • Strong written communication and the ability to translate a business problem into a clear plan or prompt.
  • Curious, proactive, and solution‑focused, willing to try, fail, learn, and try again.
  • Hands‑on experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, or similar is desirable.
  • Exposure to no/low‑code automation (n8n, Zapier, Make), prompt engineering, or working with APIs is a strong bonus but not essential.
  • Any portfolio of things you’ve built including side projects, GPTs, agents, automations, GitHub repos, demos is welcomed and will help you stand out.

Essential attributes:

You’ll be naturally curious and excited by new ideas and technology. You won’t be expected to know everything about AI already, but you’ll be enthusiastic about learning and exploring what’s possible. You’ll be experimental, adaptable, and confident working across different teams. You’ll enjoy solving problems, prototyping ideas, and helping others see what’s possible. You’ll take initiative, ask sharp questions, and be comfortable working in a fast‑moving environment where priorities can shift quickly. Most importantly, you’ll want to be part of a collaborative team that is actively building the future of how our agency works and delivers value to clients.

This job description serves to illustrate the scope and responsibilities of the role and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties. You may be expected to perform other job‑related tasks as necessitated by the development of the role and the development of the business. It does not form part of your employment contract and may be reviewed. This is a hybrid role and applicants must have the right to work and be based in the UK.
