Cutlers Hill Surgery is seeking a self-motivated, forward-thinking, and proactive Medical Summariser to join our friendly and highly skilled administrative team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an established, progressive practice committed to innovation, collaborative working, and delivering high-quality patient care. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate, up-to-date patient records, helping GPs and the wider team provide safe, effective, and timely care. We are moving towards a paper-light environment, and the successful candidate will be central to this transformation.
- Prepare, reorganise, and summarise patient records and correspondence
- Review medical records and produce accurate summaries of patients' medical histories
- Read-code relevant clinical information into the practice clinical system
- Identify higher-risk information requiring clinical input, including safeguarding concerns, following agreed protocols
- Refer any required clinical actions to GPs
- Monitor progress of notes summarising against practice targets
- Support patient call and recall systems
- File and retrieve paperwork as required
