About the Role
We\’re recruiting professional Security Officers to help deliver a safe, welcoming experience at a major stadium in Edinburgh. You\’ll support crowd management and event safety on matchdays, concerts, and large-scale events—working closely with supervisors, stewards, venue operations, and emergency services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visible, proactive security presence across turnstiles, concourses, hospitality, and back-of-house areas.
- Conduct bag checks, person searches, and screening in line with venue policy and legal requirements.
- Manage access control (staff, contractors, and VIPs), verify accreditation, and monitor restricted areas.
- Support crowd safety: flow management, queue control, egress, and evacuation procedures.
- Identify and respond to safety or security risks (anti-social behaviour, prohibited items, suspicious activity).
- Deliver excellent customer service—offer directions, assist vulnerable guests, and resolve issues professionally.
- Write accurate incident and shift reports, maintaining clear logs and evidence where required (e.g., CCTV observations).
- Act in accordance with site assignment instructions, stadium ground regulations, and Cutlass Group standards.
- Collaborate with police, medical teams, and venue control; escalate incidents appropriately.
What We\’re Looking For
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor (or Security Guarding) licence (essential).
- Previous experience in stadiums, arenas, festivals, or other high-footfall venues (desirable).
- Strong communication, de-escalation, and customer-service skills.
- Calm under pressure; able to make sound decisions and follow procedures.
- Good level of physical fitness; able to stand for long periods and work outdoors in all weather.
- Willing and able to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Right to work in the UK; 5-year employment/education history for BS 7858 vetting (references required).
- ACT (Counter Terrorism) Awareness, SCaN, first aid, or stewarding qualifications are advantageous.
